Assemblymember Tony Thurmond

Assemblymember Tony Thurmond represents California’s 15th Assembly District which includes the East Bay communities that stretch along the I-80 corridor from Hercules to Oakland.

He serves as Chair of the Assembly Committee on Labor and Employment and a member of the Assembly Committees on Education, Health, Human Services, and Water, Parks and Wildlife.

Senator Nancy Skinner

Elected in November of 2016, State Senator Nancy Skinner represents California’s 9th Senate District, which includes the cities of Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Emeryville, El Sobrante, Hercules, Kensington, Oakland, Piedmont, Pinole, Richmond, Rodeo, San Leandro and San Pablo.

A social justice advocate, energy and climate change trailblazer, and accomplished legislator, Skinner completed three terms in the State Assembly.

Assemblymember Blanca Rubio

Blanca E. Rubio was elected in November 2016 to represent California’s 48th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bradbury, City of Industry, Covina, Duarte, El Monte, Glendora, Irwindale, Monrovia, West Covina, and the San Gabriel Valley unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, including Bassett, Charter Oak, Citrus, East Arcadia, Ramona, Valinda and West La Puente.

Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi

Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (D-Torrance) represents California’s 66th Assembly District, located in the South Bay of Los Angeles County.  He is a former prosecutor and Deputy Attorney General with the California Department of Justice and a former Torrance School Board member.

Muratsuchi is committed to protecting the quality of life that makes the South Bay a special place to live and raise a family.  His priorities are jobs, education, public safety, the environment, and veterans. 

Assemblymember Devon Mathis

Devon Mathis has represented California’s 26th Assembly District since 2014. Before joining the Assembly, Devon served his country for 10 years as a Sergeant in the Army National Guard, including two tours in Iraq. During his second tour in Iraq, Devon was severely injured in a roadside bomb attack, for which he was awarded a Purple Heart. He holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration from Fresno State, and an associate degree in social sciences from Porterville College. Devon and his wife, Aubrey live in Visalia with their five children.

Assemblymember Kevin Kiley

On November 8, 2016, California State Assemblyman Kevin Kiley was elected to represent the 6th Assembly District, which includes Placer, Sacramento, and El Dorado counties. He serves as Vice-Chair of the Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee, and is a member of the Education, Higher Education, Judiciary, and Governmental Organization committees.

Assemblymember Ash Kalra

Ash Kalra was elected to represent the 27th Assembly District in November 2016 and is the first Indian American elected to the State Legislature.  The district encompasses eastern portions of the city of San Jose. A resident of that city for most of his life, Ash previously represented the 2nd District on the San Jose City Council.

During his time serving as a councilmember, he provided a voice on a number of issue areas, including improved schools and transportation options, and a cleaner environment as well as providing the tools for effective public safety.

Assemblymember Timothy Grayson

Assembly Member Grayson was elected to serve in the California Assembly in November 2016 as the representative of the 14th Assembly District, which encompasses portions of Contra Costa and Solano Counties. He is the son of a Teamster father and his mother was a public transit worker. He is the first in his family to earn a college degree.

In 2010 Tim was elected to serve on the Concord City Council, winning reelection in 2014 and serving on the Council until his election to the Assembly. He also served as Concord’s mayor from 2013 – 2015.
